Rutgers New Jersey Medical School Research With a Heart is conveniently located within the Rutgers Infectious Diseases Practice in Newark, NJ. We are one of only two sites funded by the Division of AIDS (DAIDS) in the state of New Jersey and have been a research site since 2005. To date, we have have successfully enrolled over 4,000 participants.

Research studies conducted at RWAH focus on a variety of high priority areas. Our primary work is focused on HIV prevention and treatment as well as management of HIV related comorbidities across communities. In addition to studies on HIV and other infectious diseases (Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Infuenza) our site also conducts studies focused on opioid use disorder treatment.
